Ondo - Thermometer 1.1

Ondo® is an experimental acoustic thermometer designed for measuring indoor room temperature using your iPhone or iPad in conjunction with a headset. Acoustic thermometers utilize the principle that the speed of sound in air fluctuates with temperature, allowing for the calculation of air temperature based on sound speed measurements.

How it works?

Ondo® emits high-frequency sound from the headset earpiece, which is then captured by a microphone placed at a fixed distance from the earpiece. The app accurately measures the time taken for the sound to travel between these points to calculate temperature.

Items needed to set up your acoustic thermometer:

• Standard Apple headset (EarPods with lightning connector)
• Old credit or debit card (used as a base)
• Four elastic bands (to secure the right earpiece and microphone positions)
• iPhone or iPad with Ondo® installed

Getting started:

• Follow the straightforward instructions on the app or visit www.ondo.app to assemble your headset thermometer
• Calibrate it to the initial temperature, and your thermometer is set for use
• Observe temperature variations by moving the phone and headset to different temperature zones, like outdoors or closer to a heater

Specifications:

• Temperature range: -40 to 50 degrees Celsius
• Accuracy: +/- 1 degree (dependent on headset setup)

PLEASE NOTE - This app requires a connected and properly configured headset. Avoid purchasing if you do not have a suitable headset; AirPods are not compatible with this application.
